Monday - 2.2 Miles. Short Nature Center run. Had a small amount of time after work, so I hit the nature center for a short progression run, and was pretty pleased with my pace. Overall an 8:18, but I started at a 9 and ended at a 7, and I felt good, and that my effort was solid. Flat trails, but lots of twists and turns and roots!
Tuesday/Wednesday - 0.
Thursday - 4.9 Miles (Not 5!) - Meadow Woods/Canfield Woods Preserves, Essex. What an awesome trail system! Well marked, very hilly, but totally runnable singletrack trails. Right off route 9, too! Had a blast cruising around, and having some fun with the recently discussed "Trifecta," which was: 1. Just missing (on purpose) the arbitrary Strava minimum mileage for Kudos (5 seems to be the threshold); 2. Giving the run a title from an 80s hair band song (Poison's "Nothin' But a Good Time" seemed perfect); and 3. Include a sun-splashed picture of my spandex-clad ass. The last one was not easy! Most likely due to the difficulty of getting my whole arse in the frame, and the general logistics of taking a selfie of your backside...but I did it, haha :)
Friday/Saturday - 0.
Sunday - 9+ Miles - Yawgoog/Green Falls loop with Faith. Decided to fashion a long loop from mostly jeep trail/dirt road, and add a couple of singletrack sections in the middle to switch things up, including the oft-overlooked Rhododendron Loop, which is a nifty little stretch of trail in Green Falls area. Easy pace, could have gone longer or shorter! Great weather, great day!
